Understanding the Guest User Role In A Manus Team Plan

The Guest User role allows you to invite stakeholders, clients, and colleagues to collaborate in your Manus Team Plan without consuming paid seats. Guest users can access and interact with team deliverables, ensuring organization-wide visibility while keeping your billing predictable.

What is a Guest User?

A Guest User is a free role member who can view deliverables produced by your team, but cannot create tasks or prompt the AI themselves.

The core principle is simple: Guest users can perform any action a full member can that does not consume AI credits.

Guest users are designed for collaboration and review. They have full visibility into shared work but cannot generate new AI content.

If a Guest user attempts to prompt Manus or perform an action that consumes credits, the input field will be disabled and they will receive a notification that they need to request an upgrade before they can continue.

How Many Guest Users Can I Have?

There is no limit to how many Guest users you can invite to your team.

Upgrading a Guest User to a Full Member

If a Guest user needs to start creating tasks or prompting the AI, they can request an upgrade to a paid Member role seat.

For Guest Users: Requesting an Upgrade

When you attempt to use a credit-consuming feature (like prompting the AI), you will see an popup for you to request full access.

  1. Briefly describe the reason for applying to upgrade to a higher role in the text box.

  2. Click “Request upgrade”.

  3. Your team administrator will be notified and can approve or deny your request.

For Administrators: Managing Upgrade Requests

As an administrator, you maintain full control over your team's paid seat allocation.

  1. (For Manus Web/Desktop Version only) Upgrade requests will appear in your Notifications inbox under the Messages tab.

  2. Review the requests and choose to Approve or Reject them at your discretion.

  3. Once approved, the user is immediately converted to a Full Member and will begin consuming a paid seat on your plan.
