When you connect your Manus workspace to Telegram, your agent only has access to the direct messages you send to it within that specific private chat.

Your Manus agent cannot:

  • See, read, or interact with any of your other Telegram conversations.

  • Access your group chats.

  • View or download your Telegram contact list.

  • Read messages sent prior to connecting the agent.

Security Safeguards

Just like the core web platform, your interactions with the Telegram agent are protected by the comprehensive security measures outlined in our official Privacy Policy.

All tasks executed by the agent—whether you are asking it to analyze a document, search the web, or write code—are processed within secure, isolated cloud virtual machines (VMs). This sandboxed environment ensures that your data and the files you upload via Telegram remain secure and are not exposed to unauthorized access.

What to do if your Telegram account is frozen

*Please note that even though your Telegram account is frozen, you can still return to the Manus web version or Manus app to continue using it.

Some users have reported that their Telegram accounts were temporarily frozen or suspended shortly after connecting to Manus.

Please note that this is not a security breach or a data leak on the part of Manus. Telegram's automated anti-spam systems occasionally flag the sudden, high-activity connection of an AI agent as suspicious bot behavior.

If this happens to you:

  1. This is a platform limitation on Telegram's side. Your data remains secure within Manus.

  2. You can appeal the suspension directly by sending a support email to Telegram such as recover@telegram.org or support@telegram.org.

  3. To minimize the risk of triggering these filters, we recommend starting with smaller, simpler tasks immediately after setting up your agent, rather than launching massive data requests right away.
