Manus 2.0 is the current version of Manus. It includes a rebuilt internal system, a desktop workspace that can work with files already on your computer, and new ways to keep work moving when you are not at your desk.
Manus 2.0 includes:
Cascade: a rebuilt engine that keeps your whole project connected
Manus Studio: a workspace where Manus works with the files and tools already on your computer
Video Editor: from a brief to a cut you can keep editing
Game Dev: from an idea to a game your friends can play
Cloud Computer: a dedicated environment for projects that need one
Remote Control: control your computer with a voice command from your phone
Automations: work that starts when a signal happens
Cue: a personal team of agents, each with an identity of its own.
What is Cascade?
Cascade is the new internal system behind Manus. It keeps a project light from the start and brings in specialized capabilities only when the work needs them.
That means the brief, the page, the video, and the automation can stay part of one connected project. Specialized tools are added when the project needs them, instead of loading everything from the beginning.
In one tested configuration, Cascade used 23.2% fewer tokens, finished tasks in 28.2% less time, and cost 32% less to run than the previous system. These results come from one tested configuration, not an overall average.
What is Manus Studio?
Most projects do not start from a prompt. They start in a folder: phone footage, a screen recording, product photos, a website you started and never finished, or notes you have been collecting.
Manus Studio is a workspace where Manus can work with those files. In a connected and authorized desktop session, Manus works directly with your local files, folders, and tools. You can point it at a folder and start building.
Studio works the same way whether you are making a website, a video, or a game:
Manus makes the first version.
You shape it with direct controls.
You can tell Manus what you want when it is easier to say, or change it yourself when it is easier to do.
Studio add-ons are specialized environments that plug into a project when it needs them. The first two add-ons are Video Editor and Game Dev.
What is Video Editor?
Video Editor is a Studio add-on. Manus makes the first cut, then hands you the timeline so you can keep editing the same project.
You can:
Fix a typo in a subtitle
Swap the music track
Trim a pause
Drag in your own product shot to replace a generated one
Move an animation so it lands on the beat
Preview the video
Export it when it is ready
You do not need to write a new prompt to describe a one-second change. You do not need to regenerate the whole video to change a single frame. The parts you already want to keep stay in place.
If you want Manus to continue, ask it to take the next pass on the same project. It picks up where you left off. You can tighten a moment by hand, ask Manus to refine the rest, and take the project back again.
Video Editor is built for:
30–60 second product ads
AI UGC
Data motion graphics
Tutorials
Vlogs
Motion-led videos
What is Game Dev?
Game Dev is a Studio add-on. You start from a playable template, such as a scrolling, jumping, or block-puzzle game, and you can play the first version in the first session.
The Edit panel lets you watch the game, manage assets, adjust code, and change movement, art, and scenes by hand. You can change one thing without resetting the rest.
For example, if one character's hair should be silver instead of brown, select that character and change it. The rest of the game stays as it was.
When other people should be able to join, a multiplayer game needs a server that stays on. In Game Dev, you can do that with:
Configure → Multiplayer → Select Cloud Computer → Buy one.
You do not need to set up your own server.
What is a Cloud Computer in Manus 2.0?
Some projects outgrow one machine. A multiplayer game needs a server that stays up when your laptop closes. An automation needs somewhere to run around the clock.
A Cloud Computer is a dedicated environment you can purchase for those projects. In Manus 2.0, it can be used as:
The server behind a game you built in Studio
A permanent home for an automation
What is Remote Control?
Remote Control lets you control your computer with a voice command from your phone. Your desktop streams live while Manus does the clicking.
To use it using voice commands:
Open Manus on your phone.
Toggle voice command.
Give an instruction. For example: “Check my launch folder on my computer, find the latest deck, and send it to me.”
Manus can open the folder, find the deck, and send it. You do not need to tap through the desktop yourself. You can change the instruction while the task is running. For example: “Actually, send the PDF version.”
Other example commands:
“Check my project folder and tell me what changed today.”
“Run the app test and tell me if anything breaks.”
“Export the final cut and put it in the shared folder.”
What is Computer Use?
Computer Use is the system behind Remote Control.
In a connected and authorized session, Manus works in its own visible, separate workspace on your computer. It can move through the files, browser, and apps you have approved.
At your desk, that can be a second pair of hands: you stay in one file while Manus tests an app. Away from your desk, your computer can keep working, and you stay in control of what it does.
What are Automations?
An Automation starts work when a signal happens, instead of waiting for you to remember it.
To set one up:
Choose a trigger.
Authorize the services it needs.
Tell Manus what should happen next.
Example: you want to cover new product updates as soon as they are posted. Set up an Automation that watches a product account on X. When a new update is posted, Manus drafts a summary and a set of sample prompts for your audience. When you check your phone, the draft is ready. You still decide what goes out.
What is Cue?
Cue is a standalone app for a personal team of agents. You can use it on mobile and on desktop.
Cue currently requires an invitation code. Click the Agents (Cue!) tab in the Manus sidebar, then scan the QR code to download the app. Enter it when you sign in. You may also receive a copy of the code by email.
Each agent has its own identity:
Its own email
Its own phone number
Its own wallet
Its own computer
You can build a team. For example, a Marketing channel can have three agents:
One researches venues
Another turns the research into a shortlist
A third drafts a deck with a recommendation
They pass work to each other as it develops. You set the direction, check in from your phone, and make the final call. You can also keep a single personal assistant for errands, reminders, and research.
