Game Dev is a Manus Studio add-on. You can start from a playable template, change the game in the Edit panel, and use a Cloud Computer when other people should be able to join.
How to start a Game Dev project
Game Dev starts from a playable template, such as a scrolling, jumping, or block-puzzle game. You can play the first version in the first session.
Open Game Development on the Manus Homepage.
Start a Game Dev project from a playable template.
Play the first version.
Make the next changes in the Edit panel, or ask Manus to take another pass on the same project.
Manus can make the first version. You then shape it with direct controls.
What can I do in the Edit panel?
The Edit panel lets you:
Watch the game in motion
Manage assets
Adjust code
Change movement, art, and scenes by hand
You can change one thing without resetting the rest. For example, if one character's hair should be silver instead of brown, select that character and change it. The rest of the game stays as it was.
How do I make a multiplayer game?
Building a game is one thing. Letting other people play it is another. A multiplayer game needs a server that stays on, is configured, and is reachable by every player.
In Game Dev, you can do that with:
Configure → Multiplayer → Select Cloud Computer → Buy one.
Manus handles the rest. You do not need to set up your own server or networking.
A Cloud Computer is a dedicated environment you can purchase. For a Game Dev project, that environment is the server behind the game you built in Studio. It can stay up when your laptop closes.
