Service Change Overview: How to Restore Your Data

Please use the English version as the standard.

  • Please note that the December 29, 2025 date referenced in the article refers to 12:00 a.m. Pacific Time (PT).

  • All other dates and times are in Singapore Time (SGT). The backup window is also shown in the corresponding U.S. Eastern and Central European time zones.

Starting from 8:00 a.m. on August 25, any users impacted by our service changes can restore your account and tasks using the backup packages you previously saved.

Personal Account Restoration

The restoration process differs slightly depending on your user category.

Type A and B Users: When you log in, the Task Data Restoration Tool will automatically pop up on the Manus homepage.

  1. Log in to Your Account.

  2. Restore Your Data: Open the Task Data Restoration Tool and upload or import your most recent Task Data Backup to restore your tasks and files.

  3. Note on account verification: The system will check whether the account information in the backup matches your currently logged-in account. If the information does not match, the system will display an "Account Information Inconsistent" error and stop the restoration. If this happens, please make sure you are logged into the account that matches the backup file.

Type C Users: Your account must be restored first.

  1. Restore Your Account First: Upload your Account Info Backup to the Manus account restoration website. This step of restoration must be completed first.

  2. Log in to Your Account.

  3. Restore Your Data: Open the Task Data Restoration Tool and upload or import your most recent Task Data Backup to restore your tasks and files.

Important Notes:

  • Restoration can only be completed once.

  • The data restoration supports uploading multiple backup packages. After upload, we will deduplicate and consolidate the contents to restore the most complete set of task data. Data restoration can only be performed once. We strongly recommend that you carefully check and confirm that the backup packages are correct and contain the latest versions before proceeding with the restoration.

  • Manus-generated Websites: Any deployed websites will be inaccessible from 8:00 a.m. on August 23 until you actively restore your data (restore portal opens at 7:59 a.m. on August 25) — since the restoration time is up to you, there is no fixed end date. After you restore your Task Data Backup, your deployed websites will come back online automatically.

  • Re-enabling Connectors: Data restore will also restore third-party connectors, but you'll need to manually turn that toggle back on.

Team Account Restoration

Team data restoration follows the same technical steps, but with different permissions:

  • Owner Only: Only the team owner has the authority to restore team data. Team members cannot initiate a team data restoration.

  • Owner Account Restoration: If the team owner's account was deleted, the owner must first successfully restore their own personal account, then restore their team account, and only after that can the team's data be restored.

  • Notifying Members: Once the team data is successfully restored, the team owner can notify the team members that the workspace is available again.

  • Dual Roles: If you hold a personal account and are also a team owner, you must complete two separate account restoration operations as well as data restoration operations — one for your personal account and one for your team account.
